Camp is Hiring!

Do you know anyone you would think would make a great camp counselor? We're looking for unit leaders, counselors, lifeguards, ropes course staff, and health center staff to help make this summer an amazing one!  Applicants must be at least 18 by June 1, unless they have completed the CIT program at camp. Head on over for more information and to apply!

Troop camp is back again!

Find your favorite troop camp outing here. Dates are offered in June, July and August. Here’s what you need to know:

  • All meals are included and camp staff will be at camp to facilitate camp activities for your overnight stay.

  • Troops should plan to bring enough adults to meet Girl Scout ratios found in the Safety Activity Checkpoints. Camp Staff will meet requirements for specialized activities like swimming or climbing.

  • Troop Leaders don't have to be the ones who attend, but all adults should be registered Girl Scout volunteers.

Year-End Celebrations

It’s that time of year again! As your troop or service unit plans your Bridging Ceremonies to welcome girls to the next grade level or holds Court of Awards celebrations to recognize all of the great things you accomplished this year, we want to hear about it! Send us your stories and pictures on our websites at girlscoutsiowa.org/yourstory

Troop Finance Reports Due June 30

Be sure to start gathering your troop’s financial info for the membership year so far! The Troop Finance Report (required by the IRS) is available on our website under “Forms,” and will ask for your current bank statement and some general details on your finances this year.

Planning Events, Service Projects, or Trips This Summer?

The weather is getting warmer, and it’s time to start planning any projects your troop may choose to do over the summer! Be sure to check out the Troop and Service Unit Activities page on The Bridge if you need help, and tell us what you’re up to at girlscoutsiowa.org/yourstory
