April Bonus Program  

Returning this year is the optional April Bonus Program! This program is completely risk free -- Girl Scouts will check out cookies and return what they don’t sell. Each package sold during the April Bonus Program will earn your troop $2.00 in Troop Proceeds! Juliettes, you will earn $2.00 in Juliette Program Credits! See the full details below.

Please note, because this is outside of the official cookie program, there is no access to Smart Cookies or Digital Cookie and everything will be done outside of those systems, including ordering and transfers. Clover Go will be used for credit cards and no online sales are available for this program.

APRIL BONUS PROGRAM DATES: APRIL 1-29, 2024 with all cookies being returned by April 29.

Ordering

Cookie orders can be placed by 11:59 p.m. on Monday evenings using this form to be picked up in the Councils Bluffs, Des Moines, Mason City, and Sioux City areas on Thursdays. Orders can be placed weekly beginning April 1 through April 22. Orders will be in full cases, but remember, you will be able to return all unsold cookies by April 29.  

Confirmation of orders
We are working on managing our own inventory down to zero, just like troops and Juliettes did. Because of that, you will receive a confirmation email on Tuesday outlining what is available for pickup at your location. If you are unhappy with the confirmed order, you can choose to cancel your whole order by the end of each Tuesday.  

Pickup

Pickups will be at the Des Moines, Mason City, and Sioux City Leadership Centers and the Council Bluffs Super Cupboard on Thursdays (April 4 through April 25) from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  If you are not near one of these locations, but wish to participate, please indicate that on the form and we will work with you to get you your cookies.  

Booths

There is a limited Council-Secured Booths available for troops or lemonade stands, which can be reserved online. This will be first come, first serve. If you select a booth and decide later you cannot make it, please email info@gsiowa.org and we will make sure that opportunity becomes available for another troop. 

We do encourage contacting local businesses to see if they will allow you to have a Troop-Secured Booth in April. As usual, cookies should be sold by Girl Scouts and should never be left for sales unattended at a business. Since we will not be using Smart Cookies and Digital Cookie, your booths will not be findable on Cookie Finder. We encourage you to have your troop get creative with eye-catching and unique marketing to draw customers in! 

Taking Payments

Clover Go is going to be used for credit card payments. Juliettes can use a Clover Go account to take card payments during the April Bonus Program only. Those who choose to participate in the April Bonus Program and have not requested a login will need to fill out the Clover Go Request Form at least 4 business days before you intend to use it. 

What’s Earned

$2.00 per package sold in troop proceeds or Juliette Program Credits only. No other rewards are earned for this bonus program, this does not impact existing girl or Troop PGA, other rewards or Cookie Dough/Program Credits.  

Returns

On Monday, April 29, please return all unsold cookies to the Leadership Center or Cupboard you picked them up from.  

Payments

An additional ACH withdrawal occurs on May 9 for those who participate in this program. ACH Withdrawal emails will be sent out on May 2 and you will have until May 7 to submit Girl Shortage Forms and Payment Adjustment Forms for the April Bonus Program. Your troop proceeds will remain in your account after the ACH account sweep on May 9. Juliettes will be issued Juliette Program Credits to their current Program Credit account following the completion of the program. You will be notified via email when those credits have been added to your account.
