Safety Quick Links

Safety Activity Checkpoints (SAC) is a resource that provides safety standards and guidelines for Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA) approved activities. GSUSA, local councils, and other units holding a credential shall be responsible for seeing that all activities are planned and carried out in a manner that considers the health, safety, and general well-being of all participants in accordance with these guidelines.

Be prepared for emergencies! See Page 13 in your Troop Leader Guidebook for what to do in case of emergencies, and be sure to keep a copy of the GSGI Emergency Procedures Card with you and each adult—this lists your council contacts in case of a serious accident or life-threatening emergency!

The purpose of the Troop Activities Year-Round Permission Form is for parents/guardians to provide overall permission for troop activities throughout the school year, including day trips and short trips (1-2 nights). This form is also for troop leaders so they can keep girls safe and healthy during Girl Scout activities.

Hey Troop Leaders! Do you need to update information about your troop? Submit a Troop Catalog Update Form to provide the most up-to-date information about your troop, and re-submit the form any time troop details change. This helps to ensure we have accurate information about each troop on file, and also makes it easier for new families to find the right troop in our online opportunity catalog!
